With an entirely new way to create striking pulses, beautiful organic arpeggios, evolving pads, and one-of-a-kind hybrid instruments, Elysium simply cannot be replicated by any other synth on the market.
Some of the biggest synths end up being preset synths, with features built for the patch designers instead of the users. Elysium is different.
Enter a galaxy of generators, macro knobs, and more fun ways to create sounds with movement, where even your most basic patches sound more alive than they would in any other synth.
Elysium’s groundbreaking, critically-acclaimed UI is designed to give you the most power and flexibility with the least amount of resistance.
But don’t take our word for it. Read on for more.
Change pitch, add Analog vibe and sample Flux between each hit, or Spread extra voices for a wider, mono-compatible sound stage.
3 of 7Selects the state of the filter on the channel. The Cutoff and Tone knobs perform differently for each filter type.
Click the button below to explore the filter types.
The 3 engine modes turn lush sustained sounds into rhythmic performers. Choose an LFO shape, and adjust how it hits using the custom-tuned controls for each mode.
The Depth knob brings in a pad bed made from any of the 4 sounds, which you can filter with the Settings icon.
5 of 7The two layers are optionally controlled by the Phase Sequencer, which allows intuitive sequencing of the Perc Layer, Synth Layer or any of their individual soundsources. Choose which layer plays when, and how fast their engine runs.
It also allows for step-based Pitch, Accents, and a set of Actions that includes Double and Triple hits (ratchets), Tightening notes and Reverse/Fade-in notes.
You can also turn off the Phase Sequencer for each layer, and play the sounds yourself.
Smooth Highpass and Lowpass
The smooth filter uses a special level-responsive resonance that prevents ear-piercing tones, even when the resonance is cranked.
“College courses on interface design should study Wide Blue Sound’s user interface as an example of how to combine simplicity, depth, and an invitation to experiment.”
– Harmony Central
After years of rigorous design, Elysium skillfully combines live+hybrid instruments with the most iconic synths of all time.
Balinese Gamelans, pianos, mallets, a beautiful live full string section recorded at a church in New York, and much more.
Run it though Elysium’s acclaimed sequencer or play on your own.
We sampled some of the most sought-after synths in history, collecting the most modern sounds for producers and composers.
Run hundreds of iconic patches through the Pulse-Chop-Flow Engine and find yourself lost in mesmerizing pulses, charismatic leads, and meditative soundscapes.
Select the mood you want to bring to your music. Filter sounds by Mood or the Source (the type of instrument) that was multi-sampled for Elysium.
1 of 5You can audition and assign the perc channel and all four synth channels at the same time.
2 of 5Most fun of all, the Sound Browser includes a Generate Section that allows you to algorithmically generate Perc and Synth sounds based on your mood tags, or generate entirely new Perc FX and Synth FX chains!
3 of 5Preview the entire pitch range of a sound before loading them into your patch. As you click from left-to-right, the preview note will play from low-to-high.
4 of 5Oddly uncommon for sound browsers, the Cancel button allows for freedom of experimentation, as you can always Undo to what you had before opening the Browser (including the Generate section!).
5 of 5Every soundsource is carefully multi-sampled across the entire keyboard range, and designed to work from bass to the highest range.
This gives you more flexibility than nearly all other instruments, which transpose a single sample across the keyboard.
That’s why we created arguably the most robust and fun FX section ever seen in a synth, bar none.
Welcome to sound design heaven. Create full FX chains for the Perc Layer and Synth Layer. Use the Master Chain to affect the whole mix.
1 of 3For Perc and Synth layers: solo, change layer volume, or conjure immediate inspiration by generating entire FX chains with the click of a button.

In 2015 we pioneered “Intelligent Randomize” for you to make new patches, which gave you great starting points instead of dead-ends.
Now, generating sounds is no longer smart — it’s human.
From the Sound Browser or FX Pages, use the Generate buttons to blend thousands of hand-crafted sounds and FX presets to generate something brand new, uniquely yours, and human-approved.
Infinite inspiration at the click of a button.
Introducing Tide, an intuitive way to change volume with rhythm. Make sweeping, cinematic 8-bar swells, or beat-driven LFO “sidechain” pumping, and adjust how much you want on each layer.
1 of 4The Tide Display tracks each voice during its entire Rise and Fall in real-time, to help you easily see what you’re playing and follow the timing.
2 of 4 A few optional add-ons for Tide:We know that in the moment you don’t always want to draw sequences. Use each sequencer’s dropdown to Generate functions to create common or random shapes, then use the Process, Repeat or Trajectory functions to sculpt your sequence + playback. No drawing necessary if you don’t want to.
4 of 4Make your entire patch Ebb and Flow with Global Tide: Create multi-bar swells or rhythmic LFOs. See the music demo below.
6 elegant, one-click Motion Sequencers to automate any parameter in the entire synth, including the ability to change the Perc layer’s Morph and Bass sounds on every step.
With over 130 modulation destinations, you’ll never run out of creative ways to set your sound in motion. Add subtle or rhythmic evolution, or turn the resolution up and use them per-cycle as an LFO.
We turned the Phase Sequencer off for this one: purely sublime, ultra-playable hybrid instruments, featuring sound designs only possible in Elysium.
62 instruments of inspiration plus a 14-patch bonus set “The Lost Patches”.
Harness the power of Rhythmic Element’s 6 categories: Deep Pulsars, Analog Drums, Pulses, Rhythm Suites, and Tickers.
